Jesus said to the crowds:
“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me,
and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
because I came down from heaven not to do my own will
but the will of the one who sent me.
And this is the will of the one who sent me,
that I should not lose anything of what he gave me,
but that I should raise it on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him
may have eternal life,
and I shall raise him on the last day.”

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain,
and after he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
He began to teach them, saying:
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you
and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me.
Rejoice and be glad,
for your reward will be great in heaven."

Current status and future directions in couple therapy (Part II) by Dr. Martiño Rodríguez-González
Marriage and couple therapy: Integrative (faith and anthropological) reflections, an international approach and Catholic contexts.
This lecture offers a reflection on the ethical and anthropological issues currently under discussion in marital and couple therapy research. This lecture will build upon the content covered in the first part, which was provided in April 2024. It will delve into studies that integrate faith into therapy, as well as the debates and conflicting issues encountered by some marital therapists. The challenges faced by the Catholic Church in the formation and support of marriages will be analyzed, suggesting ways in which research from European or American Catholic Universities could support processes such as marriage nullity assessment, premarital counseling, or support for couples in crisis. A perspective inclusive of Spain and Latin American countries will be provided.

Today, as we remember September 11, 2001, our hearts are heavy with the memory of loss, fear, and uncertainty. For many, this day stirs deep emotions as we reflect on the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the nation united in grief and resolve.
A Prayer for Healing and Hope As we remember this day, let us lift up a prayer of healing for those still affected by the events of 9/11 and a prayer of hope for our nation and world. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, remembering the pain of that fateful day. We ask for Your comfort to surround those who still grieve, Your peace to guard the hearts of those who live with fear, and Your strength to sustain those who continue to protect our country. Remind us of Your love, Your sovereignty, and Your promise to one day wipe away every tear. May we live as instruments of Your peace, trusting in You through every trial. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
On this day of remembrance, let us not only reflect on the past but look forward with hope, grounded in our faith in Christ. As we navigate a world filled with uncertainties, may we cling to the certainty that God is in control, and His love never fails. Let us be a beacon of His love and peace today and every day.

Answering the Church’s call for Spiritual Directors
"As she has always done, today the Church continues to recommend the practice of spiritual direction not only to those who desire to follow the Lord closely but to every Christian who wishes to live responsibly his or her Baptism, that is, new life in Christ. Everyone, in fact, especially those who have heeded the divine call to follow Christ closely, needs to be accompanied personally by a guide reliable in doctrine and expert in the things of God, this guide can help people to watch out for facile forms of subjectivism, making available their own knowledge and experience lived in the following of Jesus."
Address of Pope Benedict XVI to the Pontifical Theological Faculty “Teresianum”, Rome, 19 May 2011
