The Department of Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership develops students into well-rounded agricultural professionals. Whether wanting to pursue a career as an agricultural education teacher, magazine editor, public relations specialist, sales and marketing associate, extension educator; the Deparment of Agricultural Edcation, Communications and Leadership can help students achieve their goals. Students are provided one-on-one advising from faculty to discuss class schedules, internships and career possibilities. Advisers are committed to assisting students achieve their career objectives and professional aspirations.

We are excited to recognize four students in our department who were recently named as OSU Alumni Association Seniors of Significance! 🎉

Our next student is Maddie Dollarhide, a senior in agricultural communications and animal science from The Dalles, Oregon.

Maddie shared, "The department has held me to high student standards. These expectations for our work as students in and out of the classroom have given me internship opportunities, a robust portfolio, and connections that have shaped my college experience."

Upon graduation, Maddie will be returning home to Oregon to pursue a career in agricultural communications while completing her prerequisites for Veterinary School.

Congratulations, Maddie. We are so proud of you and are cheering you on! 🤠

We are excited to recognize four students in our department who were recently named as OSU Alumni Association Seniors of Significance! 🎉

Our next student is Laney Stansell, an agricultural education senior from Fluvanna, Texas.

When asked about who has impacted her time in the department, Laney said, "I owe so much of my experience to my agricultural education professors. Dr. Terry, Dr. Ramsey, and Dr. Coleman have helped develop me into the professional I am today through their teaching, mentorship, encouragement, and wisdom."

Upon graduation, Laney will be pursuing a career as an agricultural educator, helping students find a place where they feel at home.

Congratulations, Laney. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see your continued impact! 🤠

We are excited to recognize four students in our department who were recently named as OSU Alumni Association Seniors of Significance! 🎉

Our first student is Clancey Krahn, an agricultural communications and animal science senior from Albany, Oregon.

Clancey shared, "Perhaps the greatest thing AECL has given me is the understanding that education is about more than preparing for a career. It’s about the people who challenge you, the experiences that change you, and the confidence you gain along the way. I came here hoping to become a better communicator. I’m leaving having become a better person, too."

Clancey plans on pursuing a master's degree upon graduation. She hopes to one day run her own marketing and communications business focused on advocacy and education in the dairy industry.

Congratulations, Clancey! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see what else you accomplish! 🤠
