Mehran Yasir is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics, where he conducts research in the de Rojas Group. He was selected to attend the 2026 IEEE Magnetics Society Summer School in Cairo, Egypt—a competitive, fully funded program sponsored by the IEEE Magnetics Society and hosted at the American University in Cairo. The program brought together graduate students and leading researchers from around the world for lectures and discussions on emerging topics in magnetism and magnetic materials. Mehran presented his ongoing research, exchanged ideas with experts in the field, and built connections with fellow researchers from around the world.
