A familiar name greeted attendees at the Oracle Health and Life Sciences Summit in Orlando. Oracle featured a quote from Dr. William Paiva, executive director of the Spears Business Center for Health Systems Innovation @, on how Oracle Real-World Data helped the CHSI team build predictive, AI-driven models to address rural health disparities.

Dr. Paiva attended with CHSI colleagues Dr. Dursun Delen and Dr. Zhuqi Miao. Their conversations centered on what comes after the big idea. How do you validate AI tools, get them into clinics and measure whether rural patients are actually better off?

The team is bringing those ideas home to its work across Oklahoma.

The Code Calls Us Home. 🤠🧡

For Chris Franklin, Stillwater has been home for 28 years. Franklin, a program specialist in the Spears Business Center for the Future of Work, is the inaugural winner of the Living the Cowboy Code Award on the OSU-Stillwater campus.

From planning workforce development conferences to volunteering in the community, Franklin constantly shows up for others. Two of his favorite Stillwater events are America’s Greatest Homecoming™ and The Mid South Cycling Festival.

“The whole idea of connection and home means a lot,” Franklin said.
