🎓 Huge congratulations to Natalie Pinasco on a stellar Master’s presentation!

On October 6, 2026, Natalie presented her mixed-methods action research project, “The Impact of EduProtocols on 4th Grade Students' Collaboration Skills and Reading Comprehension.”

Through well-structured EduProtocols, Natalie created a collaborative, safe, and routine-rich classroom environment where her fourth-grade students gained the confidence to participate more fully while strengthening their reading comprehension skills.

Her committee was impressed by the meaningful impact of her work in the classroom. 👏

🎉 Welcome to TCSJ, Late Start IMPACT Cohort!

Our newest Late Start IMPACT candidates officially kicked off their journey at Teachers College of San Joaquin!

The evening began upstairs in King Island, where candidates were welcomed and oriented to TCSJ by the IMPACT team, including Lisa Reece, Director of IMPACT Credential Programs, and TCSJ President Dr. Girlie Hale.

From there, candidates headed downstairs to TCSJ classrooms to connect with IMPACT coordinators, learn more about their program, and prepare for the journey ahead. 🍎📚

We’re excited to welcome this new group of future educators to the TCSJ community and look forward to supporting them every step of the way!

🦸‍♂️💙 TCSJ superheroes in action!

Steve Martinez, Coordinator of the Pre-Service Program and Community Liaison, and Isaiah Reece represented Teachers College of San Joaquin at the sixth annual CASA Superhero Run and Walk on Friday, Sept. 25, along Transworld Drive.

The annual fundraiser supports San Joaquin County children in foster care, and we’re proud to see members of our TCSJ community showing up for such an important cause.

🌟 Featured Resident: Kaytie 🌟

Kaytie is making a meaningful impact at West High School in Tracy Unified School District, bringing heart, energy, and a strong commitment to building relationships with students.

Her mentor, Lyudmyla Krasnova, shared:

“Kaytie jumped right into a full-time schedule, handling the daily rush of teaching with so much grace, speed, and efficiency. Most importantly, she excels at building meaningful relationships with students.”

That connection was especially evident when Kaytie independently designed and led a class activity that gave students the opportunity to share and reflect on their personal experiences with math.

We are proud to celebrate Kaytie and the thoughtful, student-centered work she is doing in the classroom! 💙📚
