Whether you’re heading to a career fair, interview, or networking mixer, confidence starts with feeling prepared and looking the part. Check out our quick guide on professional attire below before your next big event! 👇

✅ Research the company culture beforehand: Business formal (suits, blazers) is key for corporate, finance, or law, while business casual works well for creative, tech, or start-up environments.

✅ Focus on fit and comfort: Make sure your clothes fit well so you aren't tugging or adjusting them during a conversation. Comfort breeds confidence!

✅ Pay attention to detail: Make sure your clothes are clean, wrinkle-free, and well-tailored.

❌ Don’t sacrifice professionalism for trendiness: It’s great to show personal style, but avoid overly casual items (e.g., athletic wear, distressed denim, or flip-flops)

❌ Don’t wear overly distracting accessories: Keep jewelry, patterns, and cologne/perfume minimal so the focus stays on your qualifications and conversation.

❌ Don’t wait until the last minute: Try on your complete outfit, including shoes and accessories, the night before to avoid day-of stress.

Experiential learning bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-world impact. By stepping directly into professional newsrooms, these students are building portfolio clips, expanding their networks, and sharpening their skills in real time.
