The School of Communication and Journalism enjoyed meeting prospective students at today’s Admitted Students Day at Stony Brook University. We had the pleasure of connecting with many wonderful students and their families, offering tours of our Career Center, Newsroom, and TV studio. We hope these experiences gave them a glimpse into what it’s like to be a student in our program.

We will be hosting a second Admitted Students Day on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and we hope to meet even more future Seawolves there!

Before the day ends…
There’s still a student waiting for an opportunity.
Still a story waiting to be told.
Still a future career waiting to unfold.
Your gift — no matter the size — can be the reason a student says yes to an internship, a reporting trip, or a dream job.
Finish strong. Empower every Seawolf. .

It’s .
Today isn’t just about giving. It’s about believing.
Believing in student voices.
Believing in bold questions.
Believing in the power of communication to bring people together.
Alumni, parents and friends — your gift to the Dean’s Excellence Fund tells our students they matter.
Give today. Change a trajectory.
