Congratulations to Sai Pallavi Pradeep, a graduate student in Dr. Raman Bahal’s lab, on receiving the 2026 Dr. Alan M. Gewirtz Memorial Scholarship from the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS)!

Sai received this recognition at the 2026 OTS Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, where she presented her research, “Developing Next-Generation Peptide Nucleic Acids for Anti-gene Therapy.”

This marks Sai’s second consecutive year being recognized at the international conference, following her Best Poster Award at the 2025 OTS Annual Meeting in Hungary.

We are proud to celebrate Sai and Dr. Bahal’s lab for their continued achievements and contributions to advancing nucleic acid therapeutics!

The UConn School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences was proud to honor the legacy of the late Professor Michael J. Pikal at the second Pikal Symposium, held August 18–19, 2026.

The symposium brought together leaders from academia and the pharmaceutical industry to share advancements in freeze-drying, product stabilization, and innovative approaches to pharmaceutical research.
