Representatives from around the world will descend upon Antalya, Turkey, next month to discuss one of the most complex and important issues facing our world—climate change. Suhitha Sreedhar, a senior in the School of Business, will get a front-row seat to those conversations. She is one of the UConn delegates who will attend the United Nation’s Conference of Parties (COP), an annual symposium held this year from Nov. 9 to 20. Read more:

Connecticut's household income has long ranked among the highest in the nation, but a new analysis https://ccea.uconn.edu/2026/09/24/renewing-connecticuts-competitiveness-in-ai-era-a-policy-brief/ from the University of Connecticut's Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis (CCEA) finds that advantage has been quietly eroding for nearly four decades. Could artificial intelligence offer the state its best opportunity in a generation to reverse course?

“There is much fear—as there should be—about where AI might take us,” said Fred Carstensen, Professor of Finance and Economics at the University of Connecticut and Director of CCEA. “But we also have to think about how to seize the opportunity AI offers to reframe Connecticut's economy and restore our economic dynamism and competitiveness.”
