Thanks to everyone who came out to see the All-America Selections (AAS) Display Garden at the UConn PSLA Research Farm in Storrs. This was a great opportunity to see new and recently introduced annual flowers growing under Connecticut growing conditions. The flowers were in peak bloom!

The annual meeting of the American Phytopathological Society was held in Providence, Rhode Island, bringing together researchers, educators, industry professionals, and students from around the world to share the latest advances in plant pathology and plant health. The conference serves as a premier forum for exchanging innovative research and strategies to protect crops from plant diseases.

Ph.D. student Naziya Nabi from PSLA and her principal investigator, Dr. Quan Zeng, attended the conference and presented their research on apple fire blight, highlighting ongoing efforts to better understand host–pathogen interactions and improve disease resistance in apple.

Congratulations to Naziya and Dr. Zeng for representing our department and contributing to the advancement of plant health research.
