The Graduate School at UConn The Graduate School is the home for graduate and postdoctoral education at the University of Connecticut.

The University of Connecticut offers graduate degrees in over 100 subjects, with nearly 7000 students enrolled in master, doctoral, and certificate programs. Students study fields as diverse as art history, quantum physics, sociolinguistics, environmental economics, materials science, biology, history, early childhood education and music. The Graduate School serves as the focal point for these activities.

A huge thank you to our panelists for an amazing and insightful discussion today! And to everyone who joined us in person and online, thank you for being part of the conversation. We wish you all the very best on your UConn grad journey!

Here are a few takeaways from today’s graduate student panel:

* College is a buffet. Take advantage of what’s available to you.
* Get out of your comfort zone.
* Make connections in person.
* Try new things (even if it’s skydiving!).
* Go to social events and explore.
* Learn how to manage your time.
* WIN — What’s Important Now?
* Don’t be afraid to explore the difference between your degree and teaching.
* Learn to say no!
