Faculty members Michael Coyne and Brandi Simonsen, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Department of Education and other partners, recently received a $10 million grant to improve K-3 literacy by bringing small-group reading intervention to more elementary schools in the state.

It’s the latest in a string of recent investments CT has made in improving literacy outcomes, set in motion by the Right to Read law in 2021.
