UConn Puppet Arts alum Maggie Flanagan ’20 (SFA) is a puppeteer and stop-motion puppet fabricator hailing from Laconia, NH. They work in Portland, OR, and recently finished production on LAIKA’s Wildwood. In addition to stop-motion, Maggie teaches puppet-building workshops at conventions around the country and runs a small business specializing in custom character puppets.

Join Maggie and guest moderator Professor Allison Paul as they discuss the creation of Wildwood in the Ballard Institute’s latest forum, Making Wildwood: The Craft of Stop-Motion Puppetry, on October 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the Ballard Institute Theater.

Don’t miss this - screening of three documentary films produced jn UConn Digital Media & Design Professor Catherine Masud’s Human Rights Archives 2 class!! 🎬

Join us for a public screening of student-produced documentary projects from the Human Rights Archives course at UConn. All are welcome—family, friends, and members of the broader community—to attend and experience the important work of these emerging documentarians.

This event features a screening of three student-produced short documentaries exploring the Bosnian War and Genocide: “Tell Me About Your Father,” “Stitching Memory: Women of Bosnia,” and “Under the Night Sky.”

These films center the stories and voices of Bosnian Muslims in the Hartford area who have generously contributed to the Bosnian Community Oral History and Digital Archiving Project, an integral component of the Human Rights Archives I & II course sequence.
