This week, as we recognize and celebrate public works professionals during National Public Works Week, the APWA New England Chapter honored Tom Modzelewski, Director of Public Works for the Town of Ellington, CT, with the prestigious “John Kiley” Member of the Year Award.

Today, Road Master Program participants are in Manchester with T2 Instructor Adam Drummond for Day 1 of the 1.5-day Confined Space Competent Person workshop.

Participants are reviewing OSHA confined space requirements, entry procedures, hazard recognition, and rescue protocols while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard confined space equipment during a live field demonstration.
