This weekend we celebrated the blessing way of a dear friend.

A blessing way focuses on support and nourishment of the mother to help prepare her for birth and parenthood and remind her that she has a community of support.

There are many traditions that can be incorporated into a blessing way. At this one we did readings, prepared affirmations, did a hand and foot bath, did a cord of beads and each shared part of our journeys of parent hood.

It was a truly beautiful celebration and we can't wait to meet this very beloved baby!!

We love having Stephanie with Longevity Ultrasound, LLC provide ultrasounds at our birth center.

Because how women are treated in pregnancy, labor and birth matters, every step of the way!

Why did I start Longevity Ultrasound? 🌿

After more than 15 years as a sonographer, I had performed thousands of exams and worked with people in so many different seasons of life.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that the part of this work I loved most wasn’t only the imaging. It was the people.

I wanted more time to welcome someone into the room. More time to explain what we were doing. More space for questions. And an environment where people could feel cared for rather than rushed through another appointment.

That became the heart behind Longevity Ultrasound.

I wanted to take the experience and knowledge I had gained over the years and offer ultrasound care in a way that felt personal, thoughtful, and genuinely human.
So that’s what we’re building, one appointment and one community at a time. 🤍

This mama was such a rock star during her longer than expected labor.

In her words," At 2:02pm today 10/17 we welcomed Lucas Reed Smith to the family! Weighing in at 7lbs9oz and 20.5in long! After a very long ridiculous labor and the amazing support from Mitchell and our birth team at Linden Tree Midwifery, LLC our little boy finally arrived! 🤍 we are all so in love with him even though he wouldn’t corporate during labor! He is so fascinated with the world already!" 🤍🥰

🕊️ Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Today, we hold space for the babies who were here for a moment, the babies who were longed for, the babies whose lives were far too brief, and the babies who will forever be a part of their families’ stories.

We remember the babies lost during pregnancy, at birth, and in infancy. We remember the parents who carry their love and their grief, the dreams that changed, and the empty arms that still hold so much love.

At Linden Tree Midwifery, we honor every baby, every family, and every story. We know that no matter how long a baby was here, their life mattered. Their name matters. Their place in your family matters. 🤍
