THE SOUND OF SOUTHWEST IS CALLING!
We are excited to announce the 2027 Southwest Mississippi Community College Honor Band, coming to campus February 12–13 in Summit! This two-day experience will bring talented musicians together from across Mississippi and for rehearsals, new friendships, great music, and a final performance showcasing the next generation of outstanding band students.
We are thrilled to welcome Josh Forsythe of Petal High School and Victoria Patterson of Creekbend Middle School as our 2027 clinicians! Students will have the opportunity to learn from two exceptional music educators while experiencing the energy and community of the SMCC Big Bear Band.
Applications Due: January 15, 2027
Auditions Due: February 5, 2027
Cost: $25, including meals and an Honor Band T-shirt
BONUS: Every participant receives an additional $100 scholarship to attend SMCC!
