π§πΏ What an incredible two days at the Sumter County 4-H2O Water Science Program! πΏπ§
This week, Sumter County Clemson Extension welcomed local youth, including students from Rafting Creek Elementary School , for hands-on exploration of one of our most valuable natural resources -WATER!
From searching for aquatic insects and investigating water quality to learning how pollution impacts our local waterways, participants stepped into the role of future scientists, researchers, environmental stewards, and problem-solvers.
A special thank you to our amazing Sumter County Clemson Extension team:
π Water Resources Agent Katie Collins
π Water Resources Agent
π 4-H Youth Development Agent Dr. Cindy Foley

We are also grateful to Swan Lake Iris Gardens for providing the perfect outdoor classroom where youth could explore, investigate, and connect with nature while learning about water ecosystems right here in Sumter County.
The future of environmental science is bright, and these young learners are already making waves! ππ§π¬
