What a great day at the Senior GO Show!
Two members of our Center for Continuing Education team had a wonderful time representing UW-Superior and connecting with the community. We estimate that 400–500 people stopped by our table to learn more about our programs and opportunities for adults 55+.
One thing that really stood out to us was just how many people already have a connection to UW-Superior. We heard from community members whose children are current Yellowjackets, as well as people who attended UW-Superior themselves. It was wonderful to hear those stories and talk about ways they can continue to stay connected to the university.
We were especially excited to share information about our upcoming Age-Friendly University Day on October 20. Based on the conversations we had at the Go Show, there is a lot of enthusiasm for opportunities to keep learning, exploring, and connecting.
Take a look at the Senior Go Show video below from Northern News Now to get a glimpse of this great community event!
And if you missed us at the Go Show, there are still plenty of opportunities to connect. Our Center for Continuing Education offers a variety of programs for adults 55+, with opportunities for learning, creativity, wellness, music, and connection.
We hope to see you on campus for Age-Friendly University Day on October 20!

The Senior GO Show is back in Duluth, giving adults 55 and older a one-stop shop for health screenings, live entertainment and nearly 100 local resources to help them navigate the next chapter of life.
The event marks the 22nd year the show has been held in the Northland. Organizers say the goal is to connect older adults with the people, services, and information they need.
