Anton Flores-Maisonet is the Founding Director of Casa Alterna (https://casaalterna.org/), a ministry practicing radical hospitality and solidarity with vulnerable immigrants. Since 2020, Casa Alterna has welcomed more than 600 people from over 50 countries at the Atlanta Friends Meeting, where Anton and his wife, Charlotte, live. In 2025, Anton also initiated Compas at the Gates of ICE, a ministry of accompaniment alongside immigrants reporting to the Atlanta ICE field office. A social worker, spiritual director, and author of Welcome, Friends: Stories of Hope and Hospitality with Immigrants (https://pendlehill.org/product/welcome-friends-stories-of-hope-and-hospitality-with-immigrants/) (2025), Anton’s work reflects the conviction that hospitality can be resistance, that accompaniment nurtures justice, and that love crosses borders.
