Congratulations to Florida International University's Pezhman Mardanpour, who has been awarded two grants from the AFOSR, Air Force Office of Scientific Research for his work in applying constructal theory to the aeroelastic design of future aircraft. The first is a $900,000 three-year research grant, and the other is a $253,000 equipment grant. Dr. King was a courageous leader of the Civil Rights Movement who was committed to ensuring equality and justice for all.

We remember him by some of his many words of wisdom: “True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice."
