Please join us in congratulating 👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿👏🏼 Irene Kuo, PhD, assistant professor of Physical Therapy, on receiving her first NIH grant, an R03 award entitled Dose-dependent Effects of Neuromodulation in Mild Traumatic Brain Injury.

Dr. Kuo has been conducting research with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for several years. This award builds on pilot work supported by a Hendrick grant and represents an important milestone in her research program.

This achievement also highlights the value of collaboration and mentorship. Through the CHP Faculty Mentor Program, Dr. Kuo was paired with Stephen Glatt, PhD (Psychiatry), a partnership that contributed to this success and serves as a strong example of the impact of effective mentoring teams.
