Syracuse University alum Lt. Col. Robert Clemens ’69, U.S. Army (Ret.), returned to campus to share his experiences and leadership insights with our senior Syracuse Army ROTC cadets.

From lessons learned in service to the responsibilities ahead, his visit offered valuable perspectives as our cadets prepare to become Army officers.

Syracuse University's Office of Veteran and Military Affairs would like to invite the campus and local community to the National Veterans Resource Center to help celebrate Veterans Day, November 11, 2026.

The ceremony will begin at 11:00 AM and will feature keynote speaker U.S. Air Force Veteran Dr. J. Michael Haynie, President and Chancellor of Syracuse University. The event is free and open to the public. A reception will be held in the Bisignano Grand Hall after the formal ceremony.

Syracuse University’s Office of Veteran and Military Affairs would like to invite the campus and local community to the National Veterans Resource Center to help celebrate Veterans Day, November 11, 2026.

Syracuse University's Office of Veteran and Military Affairs and Cabana are expanding peer support for the veteran and military-connected community at Syracuse University.

Through the OVMA Resiliency Program, Cabana Live, a free, anonymous, and moderated peer support platform, is now available to student veterans, military-connected students, military and veteran families, and faculty and staff. Members can drop into sessions throughout the day, with some led by veterans and designed for military audiences.

Cabana Live builds on the Cabana Pod already available at the National Veterans Resource Center, extending that space to pause and reset beyond the building.

An impactful evening of connection, learning, and networking at the OVMA's Student Veteran Employer Networking Reception for our military-connected students at Club 44 in the JMA Wireless Dome.

Veteran Career Services hosts this annual event that allows our student veterans to engage with employers one on one in a more casual setting, allowing for more meaningful conversations about employment opportunities and gainful experience in building an impactful network before they enter the job market.
