Thirteen Syracuse University College of Law student attorneys are beginning their summer service to veterans and their families.

Recently sworn in by Grant Jaquith, the Summer 2026 student attorneys of the Betty and Michael D. Wohl Veterans Legal Clinic will provide free legal assistance to veterans seeking VA benefits and discharge upgrades.

Through the clinic, students gain hands-on legal experience while helping veterans and their families access the benefits and support they have earned. As Judge Jaquith shared during the ceremony, veterans advocacy often means helping veterans navigate "battles without bullets."

This work reflects Syracuse University's commitment to veterans and military-connected communities while preparing the next generation of advocates.

After years of early mornings, training, classes, leadership development, and hard work, these cadets officially took the next step in their journey as commissioned officers in the United States Army and Air Force.

Members of the Syracuse University community gathered today at Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University for a Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony hosted by the Syracuse University Veterans Affinity Group in partnership with the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs.
