Day three of LKM Week. The Student Coalition on Race and Equality symposium, in collaboration with Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc., was a resounding success. This afternoon, sorors and high school students from around the county engaged in thought-provoking discussions on issues concerning Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The symposium delved into the distinction between equality and equity, the importance of learning about others' identities, and valuable lessons on resilience and resourcefulness among people of color. The discussion also touched on implicit and explicit bias, among other topics. The two-hour session, led by students, was a testament to the power of youth leadership. Kudos to the SCORE leaders and XI Sorors for a job well done.
