Big ideas. Bold moves. No experience necessary. 🚀💭

On Friday, the Whitman School welcomed Ronnen Harary, co-founder of Canadian children’s entertainment company SpinMaster and co-creator of PAW Patrol, to campus!

As part of his No Experience Necessary North American College & University Tour, Harary brought his Airstream straight to Waverly Avenue, giving Whitman students the opportunity to pitch their business ideas directly to an accomplished entrepreneur. 11 students received funding to help turn their ideas into action!

The day continued with a fireside chat hosted by the Couri Hatchery, where Harary shared the story of his entrepreneurial journey and the insights behind his new book, No Experience Necessary.

Thank you to Ronnen for sharing his insights and encouraging our students to think entrepreneurially, take meaningful risks and create opportunities of their own.

Supporting student success starts with supporting student well-being.

Between classes, exams and planning for the future, taking time to recharge matters. Wellness Week at Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management creates space for students to do just that while connecting with their community.

From sea glass art and a bubble tea pop-up to wellness resources, financial literacy and study strategies, the week combines opportunities to unwind with practical support for navigating a busy semester.

Held twice each academic year, Wellness Week is part of the school’s broader commitment to student well-being — a commitment recognized with the 2025 Excellence in Mental Health and Well-Being Award from Insight into Academia.

Because helping students thrive means supporting more than just their academic goals.

Last Thursday as part of the campus Summit showcasing campus innovation and academic programs, Whitman, along with the David B. Falk College of Sport at Syracuse University, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and Syracuse Athletics, hosted co-founder and co-head of Creative Artists Agency Sports, Mike Levine alongside his colleague and Whitman alumnus Kevin Belbey ’13, G’16, L’16.

The two shared a conversation packed with energy, insight and real talk about building a career in sports. Students and staff across campus got a masterclass in what it really takes to break into the sports business industry and the special opportunity to network directly with the speakers after.

🍊 Flaum Grand Hall: A fresh look from the ground up! Over the past two years, this space has been transformed with new furniture, digital signage and updated branding, making it the perfect backdrop for student events, receptions, competitions and more.

🍊 Olsten Market: More flexibility for the way students learn, work and eat. The renovated Market has a new setup designed to keep up with students on-the-go, including 24/7 access and state-of-the-art vending that features a greater selection of options including healthy sandwiches and salads, breakfast options and offerings from well-known brands like Brooklyn Pickle, California Pizza Kitchen and Carlo’s Bakery.

🍊 The Whitman Career Center, Experiential Center, Alumni Center and Lubin Visitor Center: These spaces have been redesigned and revamped with new branding elements — creating vibrant hubs where students, industry partners and alumni can gather, connect and collaborate.
