The Spring 2026 Capstone Competition packed the Whitman as seniors presented original business ventures they've been building all semester, pitching to panels of alumni entrepreneurs and business pros.

🥇 First place: Hone Energy Systems
Turning agricultural waste into biodiesel with on-farm machinery and a fuel brokerage network.

🥈 Second place: Thryve
A NASA-licensed handheld breath analyzer delivering 30+ health metrics through a mobile app .

🥉 Third place: DrainGuard Tech
A smart, enzyme-powered drain cap that prevents clogs before they start.

The future of business is Orange. 🍊

The NEW Creator Economy minor is launching this fall! It is designed to prepare students for careers in content creation, digital entrepreneurship and the broader digital platform ecosystem. The minor is available to all Syracuse University students!

The minor is offered through the Center for the Creator Economy, a joint partnership between the Whitman School of Management and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
