We’re excited to introduce the friendly face behind business finance and operations—bringing a strong background in healthcare administration and a passion for supporting student success!

🎓 What inspired this journey?
After exploring nursing programs personally (just one pre-req away! 👀), this role felt like the perfect way to stay connected to healthcare while leveraging years of operational expertise.

❤️ Favorite part about nursing students?
While new to direct interaction, there’s real excitement in seeing students transform classroom learning into hands-on clinical skills.

💡 Advice for students:
“Don’t forget to take care of YOU. Self-care is essential when your focus is caring for others.” 🌿

🧠 Passion area:
With a background in behavioral health, there’s a strong personal and professional connection to this vital specialty.

🏕️ Outside of work:
You’ll find Leslie outdoors—fishing 🎣, hunting 🦌, camping ⛺, snowmobiling ❄️, or enjoying clay target shooting!

✨ Fun fact:
Originally planned to become a Nurse Anesthetist!

Patient Care Tech training underway last week in the SJCON Learning Lab with Educator Elizabeth Decker, empowering a new generation of compassionate caregivers.

Many of these dedicated individuals are already enrolled in our nursing program or on the pathway to enrollment.

This week, 26 newly trained PCTs will join the frontlines, supporting clinical staff in the ED and acute setting.
