Earlier this week we had the pleasure of welcoming some of our newest Nursing 110 students on their first day of lecture!

From fun photo opportunities with classmates lead by Professor Kelly Parker to exploring the inspiring artwork throughout our hallways and stairwell, the excitement and energy were contagious.

As they begin this incredible journey toward becoming nurses, we look forward to supporting, encouraging, and celebrating their success every step of the way.

A Stronger Path to Your BSN 🎓
The Dual Degree Partnership (DDPN) represents a unique articulation agreement between Le Moyne College and St. Joseph’s College of Nursing. This 1+2+1 DDPN requires two years of fulltime study at Le Moyne College (years one and four) and two years of full-time study at St. Joseph’s College of Nursing (years two and three) to satisfy both the associates degree and bachelors degree requirements. ✨ Compassion in Action ✨

A special thank you to Dawn Ayers' nursing students from St. Joseph's College of Nursing, Amber Heisler-Engle, Erin Daino, and their classmates, for their incredible generosity and kindness.

After shadowing on the hospitals Mental Health Unit, these future nurses took the initiative to organize a donation drive to support therapeutic group activities for our patients. Their thoughtful efforts brought in arts and crafts supplies, journals, markers, and other creative materials that will help foster healing, self-expression, and connection.

What makes this gift so meaningful is not just the donations themselves, but the compassion and empathy behind them. The College of Nursing philosophy of “understanding and advocating for the needs of individuals, their families, and the community are essential in promoting active participation in self-care management."

These students recognized the importance of therapeutic engagement and took action to make a difference.

We are inspired by their dedication to caring for others and excited to see the impact they will continue to make in nursing. 💙

Meet one of our dedicated Evening/Weekend Nursing Program students, currently in their 4th semester and making a difference every step of the way! 💙🩺

✨ Why nursing?

✨ Favorite experiences so far?
Shadowing in the MSICU, CVICU, and Emergency Department opened the door to a whole new side of nursing. These experiences deepened their passion for patient care and reinforced their commitment to the profession.

New Patient Care Techs learn the ropes in the College of Nursing before heading to Clinical Units with Preceptors.

📣 Our newest cohort of Patient Care Techs (PCTs) for the hospital learn the basics in the College of Nursing.

🏥 Utilizing the data center, Simulation Lab, and newly purchased grant funded equipment they have successfully achieved baseline classroom competency and are on to unit- based preceptors for hands on training.

🧐 PCT opportunities are potentially available to anyone interested in an entry level health care role. A great 🚀 to a rewarding career.
