Raices Dance Troupe is an organization that transcends borders. Founded in 1997, the goal was to unite students through the passion of dance.

Raíces Dance Troupe is the first and only Latin dance team on this campus. We were founded in 1997 by a group of students who wanted to educate the SU community about the richness and diversity of the Latino culture through music and dance. The word "Raíces" means roots in Spanish, and it was chosen to represent the variety of genres of dance that stem from the history of our ancestors.
