Lawrence B. Taishoff Center for Inclusive Higher Education Committed to inclusive higher educational opportunities for students with disabilities. The Lawrence B.

Taishoff Center for Inclusive Higher Education at Syracuse University is committed to inclusive higher educational opportunities for students with disabilities, particularly students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Partnered with Syracuse University, the Taishoff Center offers support, research, training, and resources to individuals, families, and college campus communities looking for strategies to foster and support college students with disabilities. The Center also provides information about parents’ rights in higher education, universal design for courses, accommodations for specific types of disabilities, and other disability-related resources. The Taishoff Center is home to the InclusiveU initiative, which offers a comprehensive college experience for students with intellectual disabilities including individualized coursework, person-centered planning, professional internships, and social and extracurricular activities.

We’re excited to share free Microsoft resources designed to support people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD), as well as the professionals who support them.

FREE NEW TRAINING: AI for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID/DD)

Created with 's ID/DD Advisory Board and co-designed alongside self-advocates and leaders from the disability community, this training focuses on real-world ways AI can support everyday life.

Learn how tools like Microsoft Copilot can help with:
✅ Planning and organization
✅ Managing schedules and tasks
✅ Creating checklists
✅ Workplace communication
✅ Understanding information
✅ Building confidence with technology

The course also explores AI privacy and safety, helping learners understand what information should and should not be shared with AI tools.

InclusiveU is so much more than being in the classroom. It's being part of the class discussion.

We believe in full inclusion and our students get exactly that. They go to class alongside their matriculated peers, they go to games, study groups, and select their own schedules. Just like everyone else on campus.
