iSchool Professor Megan Oakleaf has been awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to lead a nationwide effort to prepare academic librarians for the growing role of AI.

Through the three-year project, Oakleaf and partners at the University of Virginia, Colorado State University and the University of Denver will train 110 academic librarians in AI literacy, assessment and library leadership. Participants will then train colleagues at their home institutions, extending the project’s reach to more than 550 librarians.

Audience members each had $100 to invest in the ideas they liked best, giving students a chance to see how their pitches landed.
