Cadet Clegg recently completed Cadet Troop Leader Training with Direwolf Company, 3-504th Parachute Infantry Regiment!

During his time with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, Cadet Clegg was fully immersed in paratrooper operations—participating in airborne operations, sandtable exercises, and a week-long field training exercise (FTX) focused on day and night Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) integration with infantry tactics.

He also tackled the Ranger Physical Assessment (RPA) and had the unique opportunity to conduct PT and lunch with Battalion Commander LTC Commons, as well as engage with the Brigade Command Sergeant Major.

Cadet Simonetty recently had the opportunity to attend the U.S. Army Scout Leader Course (SLC)—formerly known as the Army Reconnaissance Course (ARC). This 4-week course at Fort Benning, Georgia, trains officers and noncommissioned officers in reconnaissance and security operations, as well as platoon-level tactical planning and ex*****on.

On August 2nd, CDT Price was awarded the Governors Twenty tab after placing in the top 20% of shooters during the Vermont National Guards annual TAG Match. CDT Price also placed 3rd overall for the individual Combat Rifle EIC.

For the last three weeks, Cadet Eby has been at JBLM for CTLT with the 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment and the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment. There, she shadowed a Company FSO in 1-23 FiST, learning the responsibilities of an FSO and a FiST team, how to call for fire on the Call for Fire Trainer, Skill Level 1 material, and capabilities of the Stryker. Additionally, she participated in Hunter-Killer SLOCTOP training and a Fire Support Brief. She also shadowed a MTR PL, learning the duties of a PL and urban mortar emplacement, while participating in CQB training and serving as part of a security element for a Special Forces night operation.
