PBD Induction Ceremony April 1, 2016 saw the induction of three honorary members in addition to 63 new members from the Syracuse University community. In this picture, honorary inductee Craig Slutzker, alumnus and English Conversation Group leader, strong supporter of international students and internationalization at Syracuse University with new grad student members from Ukraine, Oleksiy Anokhin and Olga Boichak (both from Ukraine), Pat Burak, director of the Slutzker Center for International Services, Lillian Slutzker, benefactor of the Slutzker Center and international students and scholars at Syracuse University, and Dr. Ruth Chen, Professor in the LCS College of Engineering and Computer Science. Also inducted as honorary members were Maria Kuznetsova, Fulbright International Education Administrator doing a practicum this month at Syracuse University, and Chancellor Kent Syverud, ardent support of internationalization and global engagement. And as SU faces the Final Four this weekend, Chancellor Syverud recalled his kindergarten educational experience which showed that the colors of PBD, red and yellow, when mixed together yield ORANGE! Go ORANGE!
