The PLU Physics Department invites you to an open house at the Keck Observatory! Join PLU physics professors and summer research students on the evening of Thursday, July 23rd from 9:00-11pm. All are invited to take a tour of the observatory, learn about the stars, and look through telescopes (if there are clear skies)! If there’s a crowd, we’ll be letting 12 people into the observatory every ten minutes. 🔭🪐✨🌓

Construction on the 2nd floor open lab in Rieke began last week, so we thought it might be fun to look back at the Rieke Lobby over the years to see how it’s changed. The wooden donor wall, carved by Biology Professor Jens Knudsen in 1985, is still part of the lobby. 👷🏽‍♀️👷🏻‍♂️🦺🥽🚧🪜
