Consider supporting Grand Cinema this Sunday, by attending the screening and post film discussion on "Concussion."
Join us for a special screening of Concussion at The Grand Cinema at 2:30 pm on Sunday, February 23 with a post-film discussion led by Dr. LaToya Brackett, Associate Professor in African American Studies and a member of the Race & Pedagogy Institute’s leadership team at the University of Puget Sound.
Stick around after the film & join Dr. Brackett in a discussion around the history and connection of racism & CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) in the NFL, centering the Black American relationship with the NFL & the lawsuit about "race-norming" in CTE compensation from 2021. Finally, we'll tie it all into this most recent Super Bowl, with its major Black presence & message.
