Washington Adventist University sponsors eight men's and women's sports teams that compete as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Men's intercollegiate teams include basketball, cross country, and soccer. Women's intercollegiate teams include basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, and volleyball. In addition, an Acro-Airs team is sponsored but does not compete within the NAIA

Tyrus Fleetwood recently graduated from the St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law.

Tyrus was a standout all four years leading the program to a USCAA 2014 Championship & 2017 A.I.I Conference Championship. He is a member of the 1000 point club. He was an incredible ambassador for WAU

After WAU, Tyrus joined former AD & Menโ€™s Basketball at STU as a graduate assistant. He will continue to do great things in Law. Help us congratulate Tyrus Fleetwood!

Is a time to reflect on the life of individuals that served and died while serving in the armed forces. We thank the brave individuals that sacrificed their lives.

Recently, we had the opportunity as a community to think about the life of Alum Charles โ€œCharlieโ€ Shyab. We learned that Charlie was a conscientious objector for bearing arms but served in the medic unit. He was credited for saving many lives.

Charlie was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 641. Several members were at the gathering to talk about the life of Charlie.

After his service he was an educator at JNA where he taught several WAU Alumni including President

Itโ€™s more than just a day off. Itโ€™s a time to reflect on those that sacrificed everything.
