🍴 Introducing: The Culinary Club! Mention "club" and I'll send you details.

All Access Foodies and the FSU Dedman College of Hospitality are teaming up for something fun and unique, a moment that is all our own! Tallahassee Foodies is launching "The Culinary Club" in collaboration with the talented team behind FSU’s fabled Little Dinner Series.

Art Club. Robotics Club. Yearbook Club. And now, our very own Culinary Club - where hospitality students, talented chefs, and All Access Foodies culinary enthusiasts come together as Tallahassee’s wonderfully nerdy food crew.

Our first dinner will be a themed evening inspired by the Little Dinner Series, but with a couple of fun new twists: we’ll gather in a more intimate setting featuring our signature “long table” community experience, AND All Access Foodies supporters will be the client, choosing the theme as we direct our own culinary adventure!

Our first ever Culinary Club experience will take place September 25 and will be exclusively for All Access Foodies supporters - seating is very limited.

It's National Intern Day!

At the Dedman College of Hospitality, internships help students take what they learn in the classroom and apply it in the hospitality industry. Opportunities like the Career & Internship Expo also help students meet employers, explore careers, and take the next step toward their future.

Today, we celebrate our hardworking interns and the hospitality professionals who support their growth 🎉

The Dedman College of Hospitality mourns the passing of Tony Leung (’68), a valued alumnus, Hall of Fame member, entrepreneur, and generous supporter whose life and career reflected the heart of hospitality.

Tony came to Florida State University from Hong Kong in 1964 to study Hotel and Restaurant Administration, beginning a lifelong connection to FSU and the hospitality industry. After graduating in 1968, he built a distinguished career in food and beverage leadership before becoming an entrepreneur and growing his business to 10 Subway restaurants in the Lakeland area.

His impact on Dedman extended well beyond his professional accomplishments. In 2015, the Tony Leung Research Suite was named in his honor, recognizing his commitment to advancing hospitality education. His early support for the college’s expansion at the Turnbull Conference Center provided important seed funding for the construction of the Little Dinner Series kitchen, where students continue to gain hands-on experience in culinary and hospitality operations. Tony also provided full scholarship support for students participating in the college’s study abroad program in Leysin, Switzerland, helping expand access to global hospitality education.

Tony will be remembered for his warmth, humor, generous spirit and enduring belief in the value of learning. A proud Seminole, he remained connected to Florida State throughout his life and continued to support the college and its students in meaningful ways.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Joan; his sons, William and Brian; his grandchildren; and all who knew and loved him. We are grateful for Tony’s legacy and honored that his story will remain part of Dedman College’s history.

We are thrilled to welcome Elena Perez to Dedman as our new Program Associate! 👋

You can find her at the 4th-floor front desk, where she manages the college's front office, handles HR and payroll processes, and provides essential faculty support.

Originally from Miami Beach, Elena brings a strong background in customer service to her new role, ensuring the college runs smoothly day-to-day.

Outside of the office, she is a huge supporter of FSU Women’s Athletics and spends her free time volunteering at local animal shelters.

Welcome to the team, Elena!

Last week, our very own Danielle DiBattista was one of just four people across FSU to receive the 2026 Faculty/Staff Leadership Award. We truly couldn't be more proud! 🌟

Since joining the Dedman family in 2024 as our Career and Event Services Coordinator, Danielle has taken a role that was largely a blank canvas and transformed it into something spectacular. She steps up to the plate time and time again, proving herself to be exceptionally reliable, hard-working, and hands-down one of the best team players we’ve ever had.

This award recognizes staff who go far beyond their job descriptions to support students with an exemplary, enthusiastic attitude. And that is Danielle to a T. She brings so much passion and industry expertise to the table, and her attentiveness makes a massive difference every single day. It's no surprise that she is loved by our faculty, staff, and most importantly, our students.

There is nobody more deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Danielle! Thank you for everything you do for our college. 🥂✨
