⚖️💛 As we gear up for the Fall semester and our 60th anniversary celebrations, we are digging into the Archives, housed in the Research Center, to highlight our library history. ♥️ ⚖️💛
📖Did you know that the inaugural faculty included Elizabeth Leeman, the first law librarian?
Ms. Leeman came to FSU with an abundance of experience to share including a B.A. from Winthrop College, an M.A. in English from the University of Texas, an L.L.B. from Saint Mary’s University Law School, a Masters of Law Library Science from the University of Washington, and additional graduate work at Columbia, UF, and FSU. Her work experience included teaching school in Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas; teaching law at Saint Mary’s University Law School; practicing law in San Antonio, Texas; teaching in the FSU Business School; and working on projects for the A.B.A. and various agencies on codifying city ordinances.
❗️FUN FACT❗️She taught the charter class every Friday, from 11:30AM-12:30PM, in a class called “Use of Library”.
