Summer B has begun at Florida State, and we’re offering a full lineup of events designed to help students settle in, build community, and become actively involved in campus life.

On Friday, April 24, the Student Government Association hosted its spring inauguration ceremony. The 81st Student Body President, Vice President, and Treasurer were sworn in as well as 40 student senators as part of the 78th Student Senate.

As part of the inauguration process new Union Board and Class Councils leadership teams have been installed. These student leaders will work to serve the student body during their service over the next year.

Emily Porter, program coordinator for Student Organizations and Involvement, was recognized as January's Employee of the Month in the FSU Division of Student Affairs.

Emily advises three major campus philanthropies, Dance Marathon at FSU, Relay For Life of FSU, and The Big Event Tallahassee, where her impact reaches hundreds, if not thousands, of students each semester. Thank you for all you do, and congratulations, Emily!
