Wishing Florida State Seminoles Baseball and CCI alumnus Link Jarrett the best of luck as they head into regionals this weekend!

Link Jarrett graduated from the College of Communication & Information in 1994 with a degree in Communication and was a four-year starting shortstop for the Florida State Seminoles. Since then, he has built an impressive career as one of college baseball’s most respected coaches, leading FSU's program to success at the highest level. Go Noles! 🍢⚾️

After nearly four decades of teaching, mentoring, and advancing the field of speech science at Florida State University, Dr. Richard Morris is retiring from the School of Communication Science and Disorders (SCSD).

Dr. Carla Wood, SCSD School Director, shares, “I am deeply grateful for Richard’s mentorship and for the example he set as a colleague and leader. He generously gave support and encouragement to faculty and students alike. His sustained contributions have made a lasting difference in our program and to countless students.”

Congratulations to Dr. Tibi on this incredible achievement and her continued contributions to literacy research and linguistic diversity!

During the 2026 Spring Semester, Florida State University (FSU) awarded Dr. Sana Tibi of the School of Communication Science and Disorders (SCSD) a sabbatical to further her research in Arabic literacy and develop reading comprehension tools alongside fellow scholars.

“I became acutely aware of how underrepresented Arabic literacy was in mainstream reading research, and I felt obligated to help build a rigorous research base.”
