We would like to thank Power of We FSU for inviting us to their “Shared Spaces” event this past Thursday! We had the pleasure of engaging in insightful discussions amongst our peers and faculty. We also had opportunity to listen to a diverse, educated panel share their opinions and experiences on modern society and it’s varying perspectives of art and the artist. We look forward to helping spread awareness on serious topics and creating innovative ways to engage more students in discussions that address important issues.

OEI had an awesome afternoon learning different website development tools and programming languages at the FSU Innovators’s last GBM of the semester, “Developer Road Mapping”. Thank you all for hosting such an informative and engaging event! We appreciate your dedication to increasing student’s skills which will allow them be even more innovative, creative, and resourceful.

Changemakers @ FSU interest meeting was a success. OEI was proud to co-sponsor this event with Social innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE). We would like to send a special thanks to our guest speaker, Entrepreneur in Residence, Bruce Manciagli for teaching us about social entrepreneurship and the human-centered design approach. We look forward to helping combine student’s passions for social and environmental issues in the community with entrepreneurship and innovation.

Thank you Stigma Free FSU for inviting us to your First Annual Mental Health Unity mixer! We learned so much about how to begin and engage in conversations with our family, friends, peers and co-workers pertaining to mental health and healthy coping mechanisms. We really enjoyed being apart of these necessary discussions and look forward to helping with innovation that makes mental health resources and education accessible to all students and faculty.

This past Wednesday, OEI had the pleasure of attending Digitech 2019 where we had the opportunity to learn about innovative technologies including new virtual reality design concepts, and many other creative devices our remarkable students at FSU have been working on. We are proud to have seen that the contestants ranged from a variety of majors! Congrats to FSU Interior Design students, Evangelina Neri and Baili Martin for receiving the “Campus Choice Awards. Congratulations to all of the winners and every participant who competed. We wish you much success in the future!

Join FSU’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation for an insightful evening with Entrepreneur and Attorney, Dr. Rashida Rose and Rashaad Smith, TODAY Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 6:00pm in Thagard Building, Room 202. We will be exploring the stereotypes and obstacles minorities and First Generation college students face when pursuing entrepreneurship. Food and Refreshments will be provided.

The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation created the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leadership Council(IELC) in February of 2019. The purpose of this council is to provide a more cohesive network of campus and community leaders dedicated to supporting and advocating for entrepreneurship and innovation. Congratulations to the founding members of IELC 2018-2019. We look forward to planning and sharing events and ideas for the enjoyment and growth of all students at FSU!
