Summer Mentor Nights flew by! ☀️

We loved spending the summer connecting student entrepreneurs with business leaders and hearing the ventures students brought to the table.

Through the Jim Moran Institute and the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship and our Leon Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program (LEAP), we're helping local entrepreneurs access training, mentorship, and resources to grow their businesses and strengthen our community.

LEAP is part of the University of Notre Dame's Urban Poverty and Business Initiative (UPBI) network, which supports entrepreneurs and expands economic opportunity.

As a member of the UPBI network, the Jim Moran Institute and the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship help entrepreneurs build stronger businesses and contribute to a stronger local economy through LEAP.

Congratulations to Dr. Jessica Ridgway Clayton, Carol E. Avery Professor and Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies for the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, on receiving an inaugural FSU Health Clinical Catalyst Grant!

Dr. Ridgway is partnering with Dr. Shlermine Everidge from Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare - TMH Physician Partners to develop improved post-mastectomy bras designed to support recovery, improve comfort and enhance patient satisfaction.

We are incredibly proud of Dr. Ridgway and excited to see Jim Moran College research contributing to this collaborative healthcare initiative!

Congratulations to JMC Professor Dr. Juliana Binhote on receiving the Global Entrepreneurship Educator Excellence Award at the 71st International Council for Small Business (ICSB) World Congress Awards Gala in Washington, D.C.!

Accepted alongside co-instructor Prof. Hermine Poghosyan of the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), this award recognizes the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) course they co-taught last Fall, marking a remarkable achievement for Dr. Binhote's first semester of teaching.

Part of a U.S. Department of State -funded initiative between the Jim Moran College, the FSU Learning Systems Institute , and ASUE to strengthen entrepreneurship education in Armenia, the COIL course brought together student teams to address societal challenges through design thinking and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Congratulations on a well-deserved honor, Dr. Binhote!
