Next week, the FSU Humanities Center will host a lecture by Gary Tomlinson, the Sterling Professor of Music and the Humanities at Yale University!

His talk, titled "Evolutionary Humanities and the Hard Problem of Music," will explore the intersection of the humanities and life sciences through the lens of music.

We loved seeing everyone at the U.S. premiere screening of "Alaav" last week!

"Alaav" follows a 63-year-old son taking care of his ailing 95-year-old mother in a quiet suburb of New Delhi, India. The screening at the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee was followed by a discussion and Q&A session with the director, Prabhash Chandra (slide one).

The event was a collaboration among the FSU Department of Religion, FSU College of Communication & Information, and FSU Claude Pepper Center.

"Alaav" is the story of a 63-year-old son taking care of his ailing 95-year-old mother in a quiet suburb of New Delhi, India.
