In Memoriam: The Honorable Patricia “Trish” Thomas (’76)

FSU College of Law mourns the passing of alumna and former Alumni Board member, the Honorable Patricia “Trish” Thomas (’76), who passed away July 12, 2026.

Judge Thomas dedicated 25 years to the bench and made history as the first woman elected to a circuit judicial seat in Florida’s Fifth Judicial Circuit. She retired in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and service to her community and the legal profession.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends and all who knew her.
