We’re excited to celebrate and congratulate our core faculty and fellowship alumni on their landmark research and publication in Resuscitation: “Where should we compress? Ultrasound identification of the ideal area of maximal compression for CPR.” 🎉👏

CPR is one of the most fundamental interventions in emergency medicine, and every compression matters. This study uses ultrasound to investigate the optimal location for chest compressions, contributing valuable insight to the science of high-quality CPR and resuscitation practice.

We are proud to recognize our team, whose dedication to research continues to advance the field of emergency medicine, inform best practices, and ultimately improve patient care and outcomes!🫀🩻🩺

The future of pre-hospital emergency care is taking flight!🚁🩸Tampa General Hospital is launching an innovative blood drone delivery program in Hillsborough County, bringing blood products directly to emergency scenes when patients need it most❤️‍🩹

This groundbreaking initiative was developed in collaboration between TGH, The Florida Center for EMS, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, OneBlood, and Archer First Response System to explore how innovative solutions can transform care for critically ill and injured patients before they reach the hospital.
From the scene to the bedside, the future of emergency medicine is being built right here in Tampa Bay🤘💚

The USF Social Networks Research Collaborative (SNRC), housed under the Department of Emergency Medicine, has officially launched! The SNRC uses a combination of network analysis and interdisciplinary social science frameworks and methods to conduct applied research in public health, education, and a variety of other domains. The SNRC serves as a regional and national hub for advancing social network interventions to address pressing challenges in health. The collaborative is spearheaded by a multidisciplinary leadership team spanning clinical domains and the social sciences⚕️Learn more on our website, and reach out to join our community and get involved!
