Food for thought ... and for tasting! 🍽️

Honors students in Dr. Andrew Hargrove’s How to Save a Planet course explored the environmental impact of our food choices through a student-led tasting of dairy-free ice cream, meat alternatives, and other plant-based food products.

As they sampled, students led discussions about the agricultural practices behind what ends up on our plates and the benefits and tradeoffs of different food choices.

Their takeaway? Sustainability isn’t always straightforward. By examining how food intersects with environmental impact, students gained a better understanding of how what we eat can shape the planet. 🌎

One out of every four students in this year’s Tampa Bay Chamber Collegiate Leadership Program is a Judy Genshaft Honors College student. 🤘

The program brings together a select group of student leaders from colleges across Tampa Bay who demonstrate academic success and leadership on their respective campuses. This year, 10 Honors leaders are part of the program, alongside students from across USF, Saint Leo University, and the University of Tampa.

Throughout the program, these students will connect with community leaders and mentors as they prepare to transition from college into their future careers.
