The future of business is evolving and The University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business is preparing students to lead the way.

This fall, we launched two new minors designed to give students hands-on skills and experiences that can help them stand out in today’s competitive job market:

🤖 AI Applications — Open to students across the University, this minor helps students build practical AI knowledge, explore generative AI and AI agents, and develop work they can showcase to future employers.

🏢 Real Estate — Designed for business majors, this minor provides real-world exposure to the many facets of the industry, from development and brokerage to title insurance and law, including internships and a hands-on capstone experience.

Both programs go beyond the classroom to help students develop practical skills, build their portfolios and connect what they learn to real-world career opportunities.

After 19 remarkable years of leadership, we celebrated Dean Ghannadian last Friday as he steps down from his role as dean of the Sykes College of Business. His vision, dedication and impact have shaped generations of students, faculty and alumni, leaving a legacy that will be felt for years to come.

In recognition of his extraordinary service, Provost Stephenson awarded him the title of Dean Emeritus—a distinction that reflects both his lasting contributions and continued connection to our community.

Thank you, Dean Ghannadian, for nearly two decades of excellence, leadership and inspiration. 💼✨
