Kappa Tau - Kappa Kappa Psi

Serving the University of South Florida bands since April 13th, 2001

Be it known that Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Fraternity for College Bandmembers, is an organization operating exclusively in the field of the college and university bands, and for the following several purposes:

(1) To promote the existence and welfare of the college and university bands and to cultivate at large a wholesome respect for their activities and achievements. (2) To honor outst

anding bandmembers through privilege of membership extended as a reward for technical achievement and appreciation for the best in music. (3) To stimulate campus leadership and promulgate an uncompromising respect through the medium of the college band for gracious conduct, good taste and unswerving loyalty. (4) To foster a close relationship between college bands and promote a high average of attainment by the performance of good music and selection of worthwhile projects. (5) To provide a pleasant and helpful social experience for all engaged in college band work and to cooperate with other musical organizations in any manner consistent with the purposes of the institution at which chapters are located.

This past weekend, Kappa Tau had the honor of initiating our Alpha Psi class into the brotherhood. We also welcomed our two newest honorary members: our Assistant Director of Bands, Dr. Suzanne Charney, and our Graduate Assistant, Chase Deases. Please give our newest additions the warmest welcome! For the first time for our current brotherhood, KT was honored to send not just one delegate, but eight brothers to .kkpsi Convention in Greenville, SC. Over the past year, we fundraised and saved in support of the long-term investment that attending SEDC represents. We know the knowledge, perspective, and experiences these brothers gained will be invaluable to the future of our chapter. 💙🤟🔱

The Kappa Tau chapter leadership council among all of its brothers serve the college and university bands in unique ways integral to its function. Whether it is helping lead or set up for , or their presence around serving at large, our CLC and E-Board are essential in helping the iconic KT function and continue to provide service.
