Nothing says fall quite like flannel! Our STC campus got into the seasonal spirit for Flannel Day, bringing a little extra fun, warmth, and school spirit to the day. 🍁🤎

From classic plaid to creative flannel styles, our students and staff showed that learning a skilled trade can come with a little style, too! 😄

We love finding opportunities to take a break, have some fun, and build the sense of community that makes Southern Technical College such a special place to learn and work.

🎉 **Help us celebrate and congratulate Jerry Estrada!** 🎉

We are incredibly proud to share that **Jerry Estrada, Electrical Technology Program Manager at our Tampa Campus, has been named the Corporate August Employee of the Month!** 🏆👏

Jerry has been part of the **Southern Technical College family since 2023**, and during that time, he has made a tremendous impact on our students, his program, and our campus. As the Electrical Technology Program Manager, Jerry has done an outstanding job guiding the growth of the program and recently helping lead the transition to the hybrid learning model.

But what truly makes Jerry stand out is the heart he puts into helping his students succeed. ❤️

One of his fellow employees said it best:

🇺🇸 Honoring a Legend. Remembering a Legacy. 🇺🇸

Today, the students of Southern Technical College came together for a solemn and meaningful moment as they lowered the flags to half-staff in honor of the life and legacy of Dolly Parton.

Following President Donald Trump’s order to lower the nation’s flags in her memory, our students carried out this tribute under the guidance of Brian Sullivan, former U.S. Army, who provided instruction on properly lowering and displaying the flags.

Dolly Parton’s impact reached far beyond music. Through her generosity, compassion, philanthropy, and lifelong commitment to helping others, she touched millions of lives and left a legacy that will continue for generations.

Today, we pause to remember a remarkable woman whose music brought joy, whose kindness inspired others, and whose heart made a difference in the world.

From all of us at Southern Technical College:

Your light, your music, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
