✨Second year spotlight ✨

Meet Pau Calvo, Class of 2027!

Where are you from?
🌎 Guatemala

Why did you choose USF?
💚 I chose USF because it gave me the opportunity to combine my background in physical therapy with my passion for sports. I was especially drawn to the strong clinical experiences and the opportunity to work with athletes at different levels. But one of the strongest reasons I chose USF was the opportunity to learn from one of the best professionals in the field, Michele Latimer. I’m very excited that I’ll have the opportunity to learn from her this spring.

What has been your favorite clinical rotation?
📚My favorite clinical rotation was this past summer at Inter Miami!

What setting do you hope to work in?
⚽️ I hope to work in professional soccer!

Undergraduate school & major:
🎓University of Miami, Health Science

Current clinical site:
🏈Carrollwood Day School

Why athletic training?
📚I’m a firm believer in movement as medicine, and I want to help educate people on preventing injuries through exercise. I also just love medicine, sports, and serving others, so this profession is the perfect combo of all 3!

Favorite part of the USF program:
💚There’s so many opportunities to grow and network at the variety of clinical settings we’re partnered with.

What is one thing you’re looking forward to learning this semester?
✏️I’m looking forward to learning how to evaluate lower extremity injuries!
