Our online 26-hour ALF Core Training meets the Florida state requirement, includes instructor support, and prepares you for the ALF administrator exam. The School of Aging Studies was honored to welcome Dr. Brea Perry of Indiana University as a featured speaker in the Distinguished Lecture Series.

Last Friday, Dr. Perry presented “Wired for Connection: Neuroplasticity, Epigenetics, and the Social Network Foundations of Health."

In recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions promoting research benefiting older adults, School of Aging Studies Director Dr. Debra Dobbs and Professor Dr. Siyun Peng presented Dr. Perry with a plaque of appreciation.

The University of South Florida proudly offers this convenient, well-designed, online ALF Core Training course for prospective assisted living administrators or individuals interested in learning about assisted living.

Upon successful completion of this 26-hour course, you will receive a certificate of completion. If you want to become an administrator, you must then register to take the state core competency test (the state registration fee is $200). Florida law requires you to complete both the core training and pass the competency test within 90 days of your employment as an administrator.
