The SCCP Caps and Gowns Celebration provides an opportunity for graduates, families, friends, supervisors, academic support, and faculty to come together and celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates completing their degree. Dr. Joshua Parmenter PhD, Assistant Professor at the ASU School of Counseling & Counseling Psychology, received an Arizona State University Institute for Social Science Research Seed Grant to fund their research project: “Intersectional Resilience among Sexual and Gender Minority People of Color”.

The research project will longitudinally examine how intersectional resilience factors may mitigate the effects of intersectional minority stressors on sexual and gender diverse people of color’s mental health.

Dr. Ashley K. Randall, PhD., professor in the School of Counseling and Counseling Psychology at Arizona State University, has been awarded the 2026 APA Award for the Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology.

This award honors an individual who has made sustained and enduring contributions to international cooperation and the advancement of knowledge in psychology.
