Congrats to Hailey Boiarsky, who is graduating as the School of Social Transformation’s Dean’s Medalist with four degrees — and is heading to ASU Law this fall! 🎓

What started as a childhood fascination with courtroom dramas turned into a desire to serve others. During her degree, she led ASU’s Undergraduate Student Government as Senate President and worked with the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender.

She heads to the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in August to pursue a career advocating for communities often overlooked by the legal system.

Her advice: “Don’t let anyone write your story.”

Some people spend the bulk of their lives searching for their “thing” — the passion that drives them and feeds their soul. If they’re lucky, they find it young enough to make a career of it, but often it’s not until they reach the freedom of retirement. And then there’s Hailey Boiarsky. G...

“These years are so important. Do what makes YOU happy. There’s no greater gift than being able to do what you love every single day.”

Anton Khachaturian’s path at ASU wasn’t linear, and that’s what made it his own.
Women’s studies courses were only the starting point. Today, that same curiosity carries into his work as a makeup artist, where every appointment starts with conversation and perspective.

🎓 Congrats to our Dean’s Medalist, Maggie Leone!

Maggie is graduating with her bachelor’s degree in justice studies, along with a minor in special events management and a certificate in human rights. She plans to continue working in nonprofit service and hopes to attend law school in the next few years.

During her time at ASU, Maggie gained meaningful experience through four impactful internships:
⭐ Make-A-Wish Arizona, where she coordinated with families seeking support
⭐ Arizona Bar Foundation, where she created accessible materials to help youth understand legal systems, rights and careers in law
⭐ Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office (MA), supporting case prep, examining evidence and observing court
⭐ Town Clerk’s Office, Wakefield, MA, assisting with record-keeping, voter registration and election administration

These roles helped shape her passion for community advocacy and systems-level change.

💬 “I've always been really passionate about improving conditions in our society, systemically and on all other levels,” she says.
